Casandra Marie is an American Freelance Photographer, Artistic Director and Fashion Stylist.

Born during the eighties in Alexandria, Virginia, Casandra grew up within the orbital plane of Washington DC. Casandra’s father was a photographer, art collector, classic car enthusiast and a Green Beret in the United States Army. Casandra spent her youth discovering arts & music, cutting up fashion magazines, using Kodak disposable cameras, and submitting to peer pressure. Casandra studied arts and communication and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.

Casandra collects vintage clothing which naturally gave way to working in photoshoot production. She started out styling models for other photographers. She quickly began directing all aspects of the shoot, from location to models, to hair & makeup, thus realizing she was in fact a creative director. Casandra eventually started to photograph models herself with her iPhone and began to develop an eye for composition and detail. This, combined with her background has allowed her to transition into music photography with ease. Casandra started with Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top and continues to shoot live shows and promotional images for artists & musicians alike. She became the resident photographer of Pearl Street Warehouse in 2020.

Today, she combines portrait, street, BTS and lifestyle photography to her moody and melodic canvas. Casandra prefers to shoot people and values the connection it presents. Casandra shoots in both color and black & white. Always aiming toward ‘shoot to publish’, Casandra chooses not to crop and over edit her work. She appreciates the rawness that some say is similar to a street photo vibe which meshes naturally with her fine art eye.

Casandra has worked with musicians and bands including Billy Idol, Gogol Bordello, Eric Gales, Adam Levine, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Spider Stacy of The Pogues, Lost Bayou Ramblers, The Vandoliers, The Vagabonds, John Oats, GWAR, Darkest Hour, Old Crow Medicine Show, Daddy Long Legs, Turnstile, Be Well, Fairweather and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.
